Professional Testing Laboratory LLC was established in 1988 in Dalton, Georgia the heart of the carpet industry. We have grown up
with the floor covering industry and we are the
leading 3rd party independent floor covering test lab in the world.

As we continue to grow, we’ve expanded into many other industries and product categories including: Vacuum & Appliances, Retail & Consumer Benchmarking, Automotive, Aerospace, Construction and Chemicals & Flooring Treatments.

With our breadth & expertise, our scientists & testing engineers, are able and ready to help solve your product testing questions.

NVLAP Accreditation

PTL is accredited for testing carpet and carpet cushion through an ongoing program of the U.S. Government called the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). NVLAP is a U.S. Government entity administered by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), an agency of the Department of Commerce. NVLAP requires compliance to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 as the basis for the accreditation of testing laboratories. Laboratories that comply fully and are found competent to carry out specific test, are formally accredited for those tests. NVLAP Lab Code – 100297-0
